Where It All Began
Teuta Matoshi was born near Pristina, Kosovo, one of nine children in a close-knit family. Growing up with limited means, she began sewing at a young age, using scraps of fabric to create dresses for herself and her siblings. Her passion for design quickly became a calling—something she knew would define her life’s path. Determined to pursue that dream, Teuta studied fashion design at Factory Design University, one of Kosovo’s first design programs. There, she learned draping, styling, and couture construction under inspiring mentors, developing the romantic and distinctive style that would later become her signature.
From Dream to Atelier
In 2007, Teuta opened her first modest atelier in Prishtina. Starting with custom orders for coats, mini dresses, and gowns, she built her reputation on detail, fit, and individuality. Despite challenges in post-war Kosovo—scarcity of quality fabrics, limited access to skilled artisans, and no export infrastructure—she persevered.
With patience and creativity, Teuta trained her own team of seamstresses from scratch, many of whom still work with her today. Together, they turned a local studio into a global name known for handcrafted couture and fairytale-inspired designs.
The Brand Today
From her atelier in Kosovo, Teuta continues to lead her growing brand with a clear purpose—to create pieces that celebrate femininity, craftsmanship, and joy. Her collections combine structure and softness: corseted bodices, airy tulle layers, and unexpected color palettes that capture a sense of magic and individuality. Teuta’s designs have graced clients across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, appearing on red carpets, runways, and special occasions worldwide.
Empowerment and Craftsmanship
At the heart of Teuta Matoshi lies a mission to uplift women. The brand employs and trains women in Kosovo—many of them single mothers or young designers—offering them stable work and a chance to grow their craft. Every gown is handmade with intention. From selecting the finest fabrics to stitching each detail, the process is rooted in respect for skill, patience, and tradition. Each design carries the imprint of the hands that made it—and the story of a community built on creativity, resilience, and heart.
